FAQ

Does PrideFest cost to attend?

No. PrideFest is a free event put on by generous donors in our community. VIP tickets are available to those who wish but are not required.

Do I have to be LGBTQ to attend?

No. Supporters and allies of our community are crucial and always welcome.

Where is the festival located?

MidMo PrideFest will be located at Rose Music Hall. The galley will be on Park and Orr streets and the entertainment will be in Rose Park. The address to Rose Music Hall is 1013 Park Ave. Columbia, MO

What is the time and date?

The festival begins at 1:00pm and ends around 9:00pm on August 26th, 2017.

I would like to sell my product at Pride. How do I do that?

Booth space is already full for this year but check back with us in January for new vendor or sponsor opportunities.

Is the festival family friendly?

Yes! We strive to make our festival inclusive to people of all ages. There will be a kids zone with activities, a bounce house, Disney Princesses, Super Heroes, and more! New this year is a Teen Lounge! Check it out by The Center Project’s booth.

Where can I park?

There will be parking all around downtown. There are parking garages on Cherry and 8th, Hitt and Locust, and there is some metered parking in garage at The Broadway. There will be parking at Eighth & Walnut, Eighth & Cherry, Sixth & Cherry, Tenth & Cherry, Fifth and Walnut, Short Street (The Broadway).

Will there be ADA parking?

Yes! ADA parking has been donated to us by Boone Lumber. You can access it by entering Park Ave. via Rogers. The parking is in a small lot usually used for their deliveries. This parking does require a handicap permit.

Can I bring my pet?

While we love pets, PrideFest is not a good place to bring them. Please leave them in their cozy beds and air conditioning at home. Service pets are welcome.

Will there be food and drinks?

We certainly hope that August 26th is your cheat day! We will have food choices from Smokin’ Chicks BBQ, Ozark Mountain Biscuit truck, Pepe’s Mexican (inside Rose), and Harold’s Donuts! Drinks are provided by Rose and can be purchased at the bar or at the drink stands in the park.

Can I bring my own food or drink?

No outside food or drink will be permitted into the festival.

If it rains, will the event be cancelled?

PrideFest will go on rain or shine, unless the rain is more like a scene out of The Wizard of Oz. Being August in Missouri, you can count on it being warm and sunny!

Can I volunteer?

We are already at capacity for volunteers this year but email us at gro.e1508503118dirpo1508503118mdim@1508503118sreet1508503118nulov1508503118 to get signed up for other Pride events and next year’s festival.

I am from out of town, do you have a hotel recommendation?

Yes! Check out The Broadway or The Tiger Hotel. Both hotels have supported us and donated to PrideFest and The Center Project. We love to give them business!

Do you offer VIP tickets?

VIP tickets can be purchased here. A single ticket includes 2 drink tickets, 1 meal tickets, a meet and greet pass with Roxxxy Andrews, special VIP seating, and VIP parking. A double ticket is double all of that except the parking.

Can we meet Roxxxy?

You MUST purchase a VIP ticket to enter the meet and greet with Roxxxy. Purchase them here!

Will you take credit cards? Is there an ATM?

Some vendors are set up to take credit cards and some aren’t. PrideFest will take credit cards for merchandise purchases and Rose accepts cards at the bar. It’s a good idea to bring cash just in case. You never know what you can’t resist to take home with you. There are various ATM’s located around the downtown area but there will not be one at the festival itself.

It’s going to be hot. Will there be shady spots to sit?

New this year is a cooling tent sponsored by Spectrum Health. This tent will provide some extra seating to enjoy your food, listen to music, and cool down. We will have plenty of tables and chairs. We will also have a mister on site for your enjoyment. However, please do come prepared for the heat.
