Jessi Mitchell has been performing as Arkham Skye for the last 10 months. His style is more on the side of classic and alternative rock. Jessi started performing as a way to express herself in a healthy way…a way that felt completely comfortable…a way that, she discovered, could release all she was holding inside. Jessi loves self expression in all it’s many forms. She believes that the world is an easier place to live in when people aren’t afraid to be who they are. Outside of drag, Jessi enjoys a range of hobbies. She loves being around all types of animals though dogs are her favorite. She recently received her cosmetology license and loves that hairstyles are another great way of self expression. She loves all things strange, abnormal and nerdy because it’s a great escape from the stresses of daily life. She loves to watch action and sci-fi movies and listen to all types of music except country to relax and loves to dance to burn off steam…including Latin and ballroom dance.
D’manda Respect, our 10th Pride Queen, is celebrating her 10th year of female impersonation on the exact date we celebrate Pride. She has been very active in our community in the past by organizing various outreach benefits. She was the Pride pageant’s organizer and Pride show coordinator for four years before moving to Illinois to recover from drug addiction. She’s now three years sober and excited to be a part of MidMo Pride.
She is a former Miss Mid-Missouri Entertainer of the Year, Miss City of Columbia America, and Miss Queen of Columbia US of A. She proudest of capturing Miss Mid-Missouri Pride because it proved she’s still got it.
