Mid-Missouri PrideFest 2024: A Weekend of Celebration and Unity at Rose Music Hall

Columbia, Missouri –  Mid-Missouri PrideFest, Inc. is thrilled to announce the return of Mid-Missouri PrideFest, scheduled for September 28th and 29th, 2024, at Rose Music Hall. This annual celebration of love, diversity, and acceptance promises a weekend filled with joy, camaraderie, and empowerment for individuals and families across Mid-Missouri.

Led by President Janet Davis, Mid-Missouri PrideFest, Inc. is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space where everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can come together to celebrate their authentic selves. In today’s polarized political climate, Mid-Missouri PrideFest serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity, reminding us all of the power of love and unity.

“This year’s Mid-Missouri PrideFest is more than just a festival; it’s a celebration of resilience and unity,” said Janet Davis, President of Mid-Missouri PrideFest, Inc. “Now, more than ever, we must stand together to affirm our commitment to love, acceptance, and equality for all.”

The festivities will kick off on September 28th with open ceremonies at noon, followed by a day of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and camaraderie at Rose Music Hall. Attendees can look forward to performances by Ru Paul Drag Race stars, regional drag royalty shows, live music, dance performances, and more.

On September 29th, the celebration continues with the highly anticipated parade kicking off at 11:00 AM downtown, followed by the festival opening at noon at Rose Music Hall. The parade will showcase the vibrant tapestry of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies, spreading joy and pride throughout the streets of Columbia.

Mid-Missouri PrideFest offers something for everyone, with a wide array of attractions including food trucks offering delectable treats, engaging activities for all ages, and captivating entertainment. Attendees can also explore community vendors offering merchandise and resources.

The street fair portion of the festival will be located on Park Street, St James Street, and Orr Street, providing additional opportunities for attendees to explore and enjoy the vibrant energy of the event.

“As we come together to celebrate Mid-Missouri PrideFest, let us embrace the spirit of love, acceptance, and unity that defines our community,” urged Janet Davis. “Together, we can create a future where everyone is free to live authentically and proudly.”

Mid-Missouri PrideFest is a free event, open to all members of the community. While admission is free, attendees will have the opportunity to support local vendors by purchasing merchandise and food from a variety of vendors.
